Underwritering Manager

Responsibilities:

Ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team mortgage underwriters; ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Under this position the Underwriting Manager will also be accountable for accurately analyzing new loans and reviewing conditions received based upon the criteria required for the submitted product type, while meeting established goals on productivity levels and turn-around time.  Additional responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: file evaluation, classification, and rating of risk on files to determine acceptability, coverage, and etc..

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years recent FHA/VA experience required. Active CHUMS# required 
• Manual underwriting experience required. 
• Ability to quickly resolve underwriting issues, mentor underwriters and implement solid underwriting controls.
• Demonstrated commitment to closing loans
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Expert knowledge of Point and/or Encompass Loan Origination Software
• Additional qualifications include:  strong customer service skills; extensive knowledge of mortgage products; strong verbal and written communication skills; highly self-motivated, and must have excellent organizational and time management skills
